He makes for a great puppet, because he's very loose, which makes him articulate and gives him life - Though it does prove a problem when he's not is use.
One thing. He has actual Ape proportions:
Long arms and short legs, which make him interesting to handle.
But before Alf, he gave local CT kids something which impacted me.
TX Critter, is likely the proto-Alf, and I can say I have fond memories of him as a kid hosting afternoon cartoons: GI Joe, Transformers and the like.
More fondly, I even met TX Critter on two occasions. Once when my aunt's Junior's Women's Club invited Kidstime Express to a local town event, and once in studio, where we got to watch the show live!
Douglas The Orangutan, is a little bit deranged, but I like him anyhow!
I do wish there were more Douglas to be had on YouTube, but alas there are only these few skits. To be sure, Douglas is out of his mind in all of them!
